Privacy Policy

This policy explains what information JNTUK Materials receives, why it is used, and the choices available to visitors.

Last updated: 13 July 2026

The short version

You do not need an account, purchase or email address to download materials. We collect information only when you contact us or contribute material, through normal server security logs, and through the analytics and advertising services described below.

Information you provide

  • Contact form: name, email address, enquiry topic and message.
  • Material contributions: the PDFs, material title, notes and source page you submit. Your name and email address are optional.
  • Removal requests: any links or supporting information you choose to provide by email.

The contact form sends a message to the site administrator and does not save a submission copy in the WordPress database. Material contributions are different: they are placed in a private administrator review queue and are never published automatically.

Contribution PDFs are restricted by file type and size, renamed, and stored outside the public website directory. A cryptographic file hash and automated PDF safety flags are recorded to support integrity and review. Files remain untrusted until reviewed.

Information collected automatically

Hosting and security systems may process IP address, browser and device information, requested URLs, timestamps, referrers and error or security events. Google Analytics and Google Site Kit may measure visits and interactions. Google AdSense may use cookies, web beacons, IP addresses or similar identifiers to deliver, limit, personalise and measure advertising, depending on your location and consent choices.

How information is used

  • Provide downloads and operate the website.
  • Respond to enquiries, copyright notices and broken-link reports.
  • Review, organise and, where appropriate, publish contributed study material.
  • Protect the site from spam, abuse and security threats.
  • Understand aggregate site usage and improve content.
  • Display and measure advertising where permitted.

Sharing and service providers

Information may be processed by the hosting provider, email provider, Google services used for analytics and advertising, and technical providers needed to secure or operate the site. We do not sell contact-form information. Information may also be disclosed when reasonably necessary to comply with law, protect rights, or investigate abuse.

Retention

Contact emails are kept only as long as reasonably needed to answer the enquiry, maintain necessary records, resolve disputes or meet legal obligations. Contribution PDFs, contribution records, file hashes, safety flags, and any optional name or email are automatically deleted from the private review system after 90 days. Short-lived upload tickets and pseudonymous, keyed IP rate-limit records expire automatically; the system does not retain the plain IP address in the contribution record. Server, analytics and advertising retention is controlled by the relevant provider settings and policies.

Your choices and requests

You can block or delete cookies in your browser, manage Google advertising preferences through Google Ads Settings, and use any consent controls displayed on the site. You may contact us to request access, correction or deletion of personal information you supplied, subject to applicable exceptions.

Children, security and international processing

The site provides university-level educational resources and is not designed to collect information from children. Reasonable technical and organisational safeguards are used, but no internet transmission is completely secure. Service providers may process information in countries other than your own under their applicable safeguards.
